Connor's first rugby game

We decided that it was about time that we visit Christopher and Denise at their new home in Kimberley, so Claudette and I each took a half day's leave and drove down to Kimberley. We left at lunch time on the Friday but the traffic was so bad that we only arrived at 19h00.

After a good night's sleep, we got up early on Saturday morning and did the 5km Kimberley Park run.

Christopher had also organised us rugby tickets in Bloemfontein and one of his clients also had a gazebo at the stadium. We drove through to Bloemfontein just in time for the Cheetahs vs Griquas Currie cup game. It was Connors first time at a rugby game and he loved it! After the game we let him run on the field and he was very pleased with himself.

We had a nice braai at the gazebo while watching the Springbok vs Australia match on big screens as well as a live band on stage, but we also found ourselves running after Connor for the rest of the afternoon as he just wanted to get back to the field.

We had lovely hotel rooms just 1 kilometer from the stadium but the weekend was over too quickly! I think we will be attending more rugby games in the future!
